Celebrations & Clearings
In an effort to improve our meetings as well as document the input of neighbors during and outside of meetings, NiSR invites you to send us your thoughts, whether it's a celebration or a clearing.
A celebration: Exciting news from your family; a shout out for a job well done, a kind gesture, or a milestone reached; a chance to share good news!
A clearing: A safety or security concern; an item you've reported to the appropriate city authorities you want to make NiSR aware of; a chance to keep neighbors informed; a good ol' fashioned complaint.
Anonymous submissions will not be reviewed or maintained.
Do not submit any item related to crime or criminal activity. Please contact the Roanoke City Police Department directly. In cases of emergencies, call 911. In NON-emergencies, call (540) 853-2411.

I walk the Broadway / Avenham corner every day. The cars coming up Broadway towards Avenham are going very fast. The cars at the Broadway and Avenham stop signs do not know if the cars are coming up the hill are taking a left or not. A reflector mirror at top of hill would alert cars in Condo of impending traffic.

I think this organization is a fantastic plus for our neighborhood! My great concern is the safety of residents and drivers at the intersection of Avenham Ave and Broadway Ave, also McClanahan Ave and Broadway Ave. (Full comments have been shared with City of Roanoke Transportation Dept and Resource Officers and are available upon request.)

Concerned about the "small" signs popping up - "Pressure washing"; tree cutting, etc. This is a neighborhood and not a commercial zone.

Concerned about all the trees on Avenham that were cut down including 12 cherry trees. We should get Samantha Matson, City Arborist to speak to our group. Concerned that replacement trees are not being planted where trees were taken down on Avenham.
