Sept. 28, 2024 Event Picture Gallery
When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 9am to approx. 12 noon.
Where: Meet at Sweet Donkey Coffee. Light refreshment provided.
Who: Everyone! Bring your work gloves and wear good work shoes.
Why: Help plant 15 trees in South Roanoke.
Rain Date: Weather postponement will be announced Friday at noon, if necessary.
Please join us for a morning of fresh air and teamwork to add 15 trees to our neighborhood. The event, SoRo Neighbors' first, is designed to combat the loss of our aging trees. No experience needed. As volunteers, we will work alongside experienced tree experts from Trees Roanoke, Roanoke Tree Stewards, and the Urban Forestry Division of the City of Roanoke.
Everyone is welcome. The more volunteers we have, the more "teams" we can form and the faster the work will progress. This is a perfect opportunity for community service hours for students 16+ years of age.
