Guest Speaker Nicholas Ocampo, Roanoke City's General Registrar, provided the following information at our September Meeting:
Early voting starts across the Commonwealth of Virginia this week on Friday, September 20.
Roanoke City's early voting location is the Registrar's office located at 317 Kimball Ave. The office is open for voting Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm September 20 through November 1 as well as on two Saturdays, October 26 and November 2 from 8am to 5pm.
The deadline to register to vote is October 15th.
Deadline to request an absentee ballot is October 25th.
Election Day is November 5. Polls are open at your precinct 6am to 7pm.

This year’s Roanoke City ballot is 2-sided. Federal offices (President/VP, US Senate, US House) are on one side, Mayor and City Council on the other. Remember to complete both sides of your ballot. Download a sample ballot PDF here.
