Guest Speaker Nicholas Ocampo, Roanoke City's General Registrar, provided the following information at our September Meeting:

  • Early voting starts across the Commonwealth of Virginia this week on Friday, September 20.

  • Roanoke City's early voting location is the Registrar's office located at 317 Kimball Ave. The office is open for voting Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm September 20 through November 1 as well as on two Saturdays, October 26 and November 2 from 8am to 5pm. 

  • The deadline to register to vote is October 15th. 

  • Deadline to request an absentee ballot is October 25th. 

  • Election Day is November 5. Polls are open at your precinct 6am to 7pm.

  • This year’s Roanoke City ballot is 2-sided. Federal offices (President/VP, US Senate, US House) are on one side, Mayor and City Council on the other. Remember to complete both sides of your ballot. Download a sample ballot PDF here.
