The City of Roanoke is hosting its next Community Forum and Cookout right here in South Roanoke on Wednesday, November 8, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at South Roanoke Methodist Church, 2330 S. Jefferson Street.
As announced at our September meeting, Roanoke City Police Department and leadership from various departments including the City Manager's office, Mayor's office, City Council, Transportation, Zoning, Public Safety, Housing, and more, will sit down with us, enjoy a meal together, hear our questions and concerns, and to listen to our ideas. The meal will be followed by an organized forum and Q&A for which attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions.
We'll also meet our new Chief of Police Scott Booth, sworn into office just this week.
