Proposed Intersection Improvement for Broadway and Avenham

The Transportation Division has prepared a draft proposed improvement to the Broadway Ave. and Avenham Ave. intersection in South Roanoke. Please time take to review the image and watch the video explanation of the proposed improvement.

The Board of Neighbors in South Roanoke is pleased to see this progress. The proposed improvement directly addresses concerns expressed by Neighbors in South Roanoke bringing traffic calming measures, a clear traffic pattern, and safe pedestrian crossings to this intersection. While initial reactions from various stakeholders are very positive, the Transportation Division wants to hear from the South Roanoke community before moving this from a concept draft to a planned change.
