The SoRo Plawkers are hosting their very first meetup and YOU are invited!
Meet the SoRo Plawkers on Monday, May 15, at 6pm in the Earth Fare parking lot—2203 Franklin Rd SW!
“Plawkers”? “Plawking”?? What is it?!… Plawking is just picking up litter while walking—it's good exercise, it's good for the environment, and it's good for bringing neighbors and community partners together to meet, interact, and explore Roanoke on foot! AND it's FUN!
Come give plawking a try! Anyone/everyone is always invited and very welcome to just show up and jump in at any of our meetups. We take a 45ish minute stroll and pick up litter along the way! All cleanup supplies will be provided.
Please arrive a few minutes early to grab your plawking supplies (gloves, trash bags, grabbers, etc.) and hear the route plan. Those who are able are invited to stick around to get dinner or a beverage after the plawk at a nearby location "TBD" by those present!
