Our National Night Out event last year was such a fantastic success that we're pulling together again with friends and neighbors from SoRo, I (HEART) SE and Old Southwest, Inc. for another Southside National Night Out Super Event in 2024! We'll start with a plawk and end with a party to celebrate our neighborhoods, our first responders and our city's public safety providers. We hope you can join us for some or all of the fun.
Southside National Night Out
Tuesday, August 6!
5:15pm 'til 6pm — Plawk

1407 Kenwood Blvd SE.
We'll start with delivering dinner to the crew at Fire-EMS Station 6, then take a 45-minute litter cleanup walk
6:30pm 'til 8pm — Let’s Party Fire-EMS Station No. 8 2328 Crystal Spring Ave SW.
We'll show our appreciation to the Station 8 crew with yummy desserts and treats!
Then it's on to the green to enjoy games, socializing with neighbors, fire truck tours, time with local leaders and city personnel from several public safety and health departments, and much more. Please bring a blanket or folding chair.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make Roanoke a safer, more caring place to live. We're so pleased for South Roanoke, Southeast, and Old Southwest neighbors, community partners, and our first responders to join together again for a second year to enhance the relationship between neighbors, neighborhoods and our public safety providers to celebrate a united Roanoke community!
