We'll be joined by several guests who'll help us know what to do with the "stuff" we discover as we spruce up our homes, our yards, and our streets this spring.

Our Guest Speakers:

Tiffany Bradbury Director of Community Engagement Roanoke Valley Resource Authority (RVRA): Learn how Roanoke Valley Resource Authority (RVRA) manages what happens to trash after it leaves your SoRo curb, what to do with unusual or oversized items, and how we can all work together to keep our neighborhood free of trash.

Sunni Purviance Founder Roanoke Plawkers You won't find “plawker” in any dictionary, but Sunni and the Roanoke Plawkers are a REAL thing - a FULLY VOLUNTEER thing! Sunni will share all about Plawking. "It's fun! It’s exercise! It's fresh air! It's community! And there is a great need for it everywhere." Yes, including our South Roanoke! Together we can make a big difference!

Courtney Carter Plaster Executive Director Clean Valley Council Clean Valley Council’s mission is to encourage environmental stewardship and lead the way towards a sustainable tomorrow. CVC's programs center around four key areas: recycling, litter prevention, stormwater protection, and stewardship. CVC hosts and participates in various events throughout the year. A special thank you to CVC for providing some of the supplies for our South Roanoke plawks and, hopefully, our future cleanups!
